Week One Homework

I went out to the park at about 5:30 p.m.  I feel like I should have been able to shoot at an ISO of at least 400, but it wasn't working.  I find that I have to overexpose for my pictures to be light enough on the skin.  When my meter is right were it should be, on the 0, my exposure was still to dark as you can see in the 2nd and 3rd picture.

~Singular~
Aperture: f/2.2
Shutter Speed: 1/4000
ISO: 800

Aperture: f/4.0
Shutter Speed: 1/1250
ISO: 800

Aperture: f/4
Shutter Speed: 1/1000
ISO: 800

"Storytelling"

Aperture: f/16
Shutter Speed: 1/80
ISO: 800
Aperture: f/16
Shutter Speed: 1/80
ISO: 800
Aperture: f/16
Shutter Speed: 1/125
ISO: 800
I was focused on her face, therefore metered from her face and she is still to dark not to mention out of focus.  I'm not sure if I will ever get this right.

"Who Cares"

Aperture: f/8
Shutter Speed: 1/320
ISO: 800

  1. Lovely pictures!! The mother & daughter are both so pretty and I love the location you shot at!
For the storytelling picture, how far away from her were you? maybe it would have helped if you stepped back a bit.
