This week was a bit of a struggle for me. The lighting in my house isn't the greatest and the windows that i do have good lighting coming through have blinds on them that can't be raised so I have shadows from the slats on everything. I did manage to get a picture of my youngest daughter that I think turned out pretty good. I had her stand in the doorway facing the window that was about 10 feet across the room. I know that my shutter speed is lower than it should be but I wanted to keep the ISO @ 400. Since she was facing the window I didn't have any shadowing and my walls and door frame are white so I had the natural reflectors.
ISO - 400
Aperture - f/4
Shutter Speed 1/50
This next picture I had her stand in the front doorway to get her silhouette. I had my aperture down as low as it could go and still couldn't get the background to blur any so the cars that are parked across the street are a bit of a distraction.
ISO - 400
Aperture - f/4
Shutter Speed 1/4000
I didn't get a still life.....SORRY!
Beautiful soft light on your portrait and the catch lights are great. Lovely shot, Gina :)
